It was the year 1888 when Van Gogh made his famous painting of his bedroom in Arles (in France) which we have well-known as the name "The Bedroom" or "Slaapkamer te Arles". He made several at least three versions of the painting. This may be the missing fourth version of the painting, and in this version, the neighbor's black cat was sneaking in and sleeping in Vincent's bed. The cat has woken up to the sounds of the artist’s work and looks a little annoyed at his disturber just as Vincent has immortalized the picture on the canvas.
That’s how the foreign cat also ended up with this version (The bedroom in Arles with the neighbor's grumpy black cat) of the masterpiece, or maybe this is the best version of all the versions.
